ReplyDeleteCaught in a loop on screen right of pyramid - going down takes you to same 'level'. Anyone else stuck here. Got wheel, bucket, coconut, jewel...
ReplyDeleteThe chicken lady is back.
ReplyDeletewell, sugar would quickly give energy to move wagon (but no chance to get some)...
ReplyDeleteHint: Circle = 0 and not 1 like I thought ;) Very quick out. Nice series, SD! Thanx!

ReplyDeleteHi myrdlebp. Restarted game but, of course, it just brings you back to where you left off, so still stuck in same position :(
ReplyDeletegame surely needs a map
ReplyDeleteAfter i clicked on the thing behind the rug i have 3 bottles of water and they're all called orange jewel. The thing i actually wanted to pick up, though, has vanished.
ReplyDeleteyou too,Austin? blue gem from the lady of the chicken
ReplyDeleteYou don't need a screwdriver. Gems from moving crate, watering dry bush, moving tomato, and giving the lady a chicken.
ReplyDeleteYou can use the lamp anywhere. And this time, it wishes you home.
ReplyDeleteDon't go looking for water from previous days, or you'll get stuck in the loop. You're fine until you combine the rope (vine) and bucket.
ReplyDeleteOk that's crazy, the grocer speaks in a different language but I think you'll have to give him a cocnut to get something grey hidden behind left cloth
ReplyDeleteRestarted completely new game (not just screen refresh) and am stuck in loop yet again. It seems I'm destined to be in this desert for some time yet!
ReplyDeleteSame bug as Beucherverslingen except I got 5 water bottles and couldn't interact with anything.
ReplyDeleteAt least if you click "new game" instead of "play" it does restart properly.
Dazz the coconut gets you the bucket.
ReplyDelete@buechervers - yep I have this e bottles too and can't pick up the 'thing' (coin?)
ReplyDeleteWhat was the grey item behind the rug?
ReplyDeleteNever got it.
Ha! wheel from the 5 digit crate beside the grocer
ReplyDeleteYou don't need it Zuleika.
ReplyDelete$ gems to the Sultan gets a lamp.
Use the lamp by the merchant.
Little glitchy. Made it thru but somehow got 5 bottles of water????
ReplyDeleteuse the machete to cut the rope by the crates
ReplyDeleteGet rope from cutting the one attached to crates of powdered sugar
ReplyDeleteif you are stuck in loop, go left from pyramid then up.
ReplyDeleteOut.
Just needing red jewel now
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's just me but I can't get the bucket and something seems wrong with the inventory, replaying
ReplyDeletenice Mohican djinn LOL
ReplyDeleteRed gem is behind tomato on stall.
ReplyDeleteMy bottles are vines! LOL
ReplyDeleteAw ty Austen ! I clicked all over that stall too ....
ReplyDeleteAnd out - finally. Thanks to all :)
ReplyDelete5 digit code? I get 43056 from shapes sign, is that right? If so, not working, should the zero be 1?
ReplyDeleteLast shape is an octagon!
ReplyDeleteD'oh! TY! :D

ReplyDeleteI have 4 empty bottles and one was used without water on plant to get gem.
ReplyDeleteHow could this buggy game get 4 stars?????
ReplyDeleteI got out of the desert loop, but I too never picked up the thing behind the curtain and when I went back it was gone...but I ended up with three bottles of water.
I mean, I know we love SD and all, but come on...
GONGTATS!
ReplyDeleteOh, wait . . that was the other site.
Ended up with a bunch of water bottles that didn't do anything.
Game was not buggy for me. I was able to get to the end with no problem. So what - five bottles of water is better than none, right?
ReplyDeleteFun series, SD! Thanks!
Because mistakes like that would bring out all kinds of nasty comments for any other developer, but since it's SD he can just phone it in and we're all like 'oh yay'.
ReplyDeletei like SD too. I doubt SD minds some constructive criticism, being so accessible as he is and all.
And like i said, a game with these mistakes gets 4 stars and that really good ENA game gets 3, maybe. And I don't think anyone is cheating at voting, that's not what I'm saying, I just think some have their favorites whether the game is really that good or not.
Am I off the cheerleading squad now? Do I not get to sit at the cool kid's table anymore?
Yeah, I missed the vent behind the curtain. Oops, it wasn't supposed to be there. Sorry about that. Other than that, I have no idea how anyone got more than one bottle. I can't get it to happen. :) I updated the game. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Selfdefiant! This is why we love you! :)
ReplyDeleteI played through the first time only after the update - works beautifully and cute ending!
ReplyDeletebuggy
ReplyDelete"Wonderful! Magnificent! Glorious! Punctual!" - Genie [Aladdin]
ReplyDeleteNot you
ReplyDeleteYes you are right up to a point
We forgive SD mistakes because he ALWAYS owns up to them and fixes them immediately and keeps an eye on these sites
He is a very prolific game maker and mistakes are bound to happen!
I will get off my soap box now
Thanx SD
Thank you for a great game again.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rachel for your hint about the circle and the number it converts to. That had me stumped for a while! That was the clue I needed to carry on.
ReplyDeleteJoe M:
ReplyDeleteI agree with you! SD cares about us folks who play his games. And he puts out some really great games. He is the reason I got into escape games in the first place, lo those many years ago, playing the pretty mansion and beach ones (I remember playing one on my lunch break one day and someone came into my office and said 'that is a beautiful house!' they didn't know it was a game!)
I think I just get discouraged for other game makers who, no matter how much they improve, always seem to get the same 'meh' ratings. I've always been a sucker for the underdog, though. :)
Anyway, as always, I appreciate SD and look forward to playing his games for a long time to come.
I love all your games SD... Not crazy about dark (room) games. But yours always put a smile on my face! I can associate with the jeep...we have one exactly same color! Thanks for the entertainment and the fun!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, I always try to fix any mistakes that might slip through. I wish you all knew how hard I work to make each game. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great series - I hope the next one is up soon. Thank you, Selfdefiant, and you know most of us appreciate your efforts.
ReplyDeleteNotYou:
ReplyDeleteBest to just ignore the rating stars.
They have always been about the developer and not about the game, and have always been "stacked".
Moving them to the game page hasn't changed that, and in fact seems to have made it worse.
Escaper should never have brought them back.
Selfdefiant, as someone who does a lot of coding I do understand the work that goes in to making a game.
ReplyDeleteI looked back at your early games here a couple weeks ago, and they were *never* buggy even though they were bigger and more complex than your current games, which require your attention more often than not anymore.
I can't help wondering what has changed at your end to make it so?
Most of it has to do with coding in AS3 now. All of the old games were AS2 and I knew it better. I was forced to move to AS3 and am not as good yet. :) I keep trying to get better though. Also I make games at a lot faster rate.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I see.
ReplyDeleteWell don't rush things on our account.
Most of us would rather have it good than fast if there is a choice to be made.
And thanks!
When were you voted spokesman, bill?!
