Nice and quick.
ReplyDeleteCheck the card in your inventory to get started.
Nice touch how the used tools are used again :)
ReplyDeleteBut what's the food, crab legs ?
Is there a bug or are you supposed to get the locked white cabinet open just by zooming on the floor to the right of it? Or did I just happen to click the right hidden panel pixel without even noticing it?
ReplyDeleteI had my screwdriver highlighted when the cabinet opened, but other than that I didn't use the SD except to place it in the hole later on.
Yep, definitely a bug. I replayed and the cabined still opened when I zoomed in and clicked the floor next to the ATM. But now I found the actual place to use the SD on and got the key to open the cabinet, but I already had the pliers.
ReplyDeleteI didn't do anything with the A-Z buttons and was still able to get out.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I can't get anywhere with this. I used the card for the name, and have the SD, but I can't find anywhere to use it, or anything else to do with it or the card. Hmmph.
ReplyDeleteOh of course - now that I've spent ages footling around, and then posted the above remark, I've found where to use the SD! There is another slot to zoom in to on the machine front, slightly to the right. Obvious really.
ReplyDeleteFor the AZ buttons that appear after you've used the card again, think THANK in alphabetical order.
ReplyDeleteYep, crab legs. Mmmm.
ReplyDeletenice game :)
ReplyDeletePity, several of these Japanese sites have suddenly not been accessible to me for a few weeks now.
ReplyDeleteI know it isn't a browser issue because I can not even connect to their servers in order for a browser issue to arise.
It is odd for a Neat game to be buggy, too.
I wonder what is up?
Excellent, though a bit short.... yummy, crab legs ;)
ReplyDeleteHerpington, I had the same problem but using a proxy server seems to get around it. I go here: http://www.publicproxyservers.com/proxy/list_rating1.html
ReplyDeleteand pick one off the list. Proxy servers seem to come and go. Right now freeproxyforxe.com works. Go there, past the game link in the box and click Go.
paste, not past
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea, but it really isn't worth all the effort just for a 5 minute flash game.
ReplyDeleteNot to me, at least.
If they want people to see their ads and play their games, why make it harder for them to do so?
I don't get that mindset at all.
If you want people's money you should make it as easy as possible for them to give it to you.
Herpington, it's not actually the game author that's causing this to happen. ISPs sometimes block access to entire blocks of IPs for their own internal reasons. I assume spam is coming from some part of the IP block but the game site is just collateral damage. If you try to go to any URL on neat-escape, game or not, it will fail because a whole chunk is inaccessible to you. For ages I could never play a Detarou without going through a transparent proxy. I made some inquries and it turned out my own ISP, ATT, was blocking a bunch of IP addresses, anything in web.fc2.com was blocked.
ReplyDeleteA simplified version of how this works: an ISP is given a block of IP addresses, for simplicity's sake we'll say 2000-2999 (in reality they are not formatted this way, but rather xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where 0 <= x <= 255). That gives them 1000 addresses to give to their customers. The ISP rents out web space and IP addresses, and neat-escape rents address 2363. Spammers typically rent out a bunch of IP addresses, so spammer rents addresses 2704, 2345, 2981, etc and proceeds to spew spam or maybe launch DDOS attacks or other such trouble.
ReplyDeleteOn the other end, your ISP sees spam/attacks coming from several addresses in the 2000 range. For simplicity they simply block *everything* in 2000-2999. It's like having a crack house in your neighborhood and *nobody* wants to go into the general area. It doesn't matter if Jesus Christ Himself is living 3 doors down. Doesn't matter if neat-escape has nothing whatsoever to do with the spammer, your ISP has declared it a no-go zone.
Not everyone's ISP is going to do the same thing, though. Players who aren't experiencing the blocking undoubtedly have a different ISP from you and I.
Hope that helps
Andrea - that is very informative! Thanks...I will store this information in case I have problems....much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrea!
ReplyDeleteAnd for anyone having the same problem, this is the proxy server I have been using to play these games.

myrdlebp, thanks, it's nice to have a proxy that stays up. Some of these I've been getting from the list disappear after a week or even sooner.
ReplyDeletefun game
