ReplyDeleteHeh - it's a bit weird that part of the scenes seem to be underground, and part somewhere high up in a building, but it somehow just adds to the surreal atmosphere. :) Cutest sound effects, as usual, and I always love that we are not supposed to be cruel to animals. Great game, Guntars!

ReplyDeleteWhere does the key go? My rag disappeared when I cleaned up the face. Is there another rag to clean up the smudge in the same room with the left/right clue? Can't find the knife. I usually get through these games pretty easily, but I'm stuck and the clues above only focus on a couple of spots that I've already figured out.

You'll get a crwobar. Use it on the pieces of wood and in the new room you'll see the face on a window.
Use cloth.
A knife is used to remove the dirty spot.
I see a WT could be helpful, but sorry, I have no time to do it at this moment.
And I needed a hint for the use of the key as well, didn't see it. It's left the door of which you have to remove the wood.

ReplyDeleteYou start in a long passageway and immediately spot a big green A on the wall.
Taking the door to the right you notice an X which looks like it goes with the A, a place for a 4# code and you take your first Sniffcoin from the right arch.
Moving right again you trip over a rock and grab Sniffcoin 2 which reveals an O.
As you can’t get through the doorway you backtrack and take the far left arrow at the start.
Those green symbols on the wall look like the perfect place to put your new code but there are only two slots until you think to slide the middle panel up.
Feeling really pleased with yourself you enter the code and take Sniffcoin 3 and a cool pair of sunglasses also noting the arrow hint.
A quick look downstairs shows you a 4# code and a place for a 4 letter word.
You rapidly scoot over to the 4# panel and …….. nothing.
Damn!
Back to the passageway you go and this time you explore the near left tunnel.
The panel on the right is easy to spot and gives you Sniffcoin 4 and a rag.
Shame you can’t get the statue right now but continuing to the left you look down the tunnel.
As the light is so bright you use your shades and notice the pattern on the wall beside the coin hint.
That pattern opens the 4x4 grid back at the start and you gleefully grab Sniffcoin 6 and a crowbar.
Ok now it’s time to deal with that boarded up doorway!
Eek! Scary face!
You wipe it away and take Sniffcoin 6 from the window then Sniffcoin 7 and some fish food from the panel on the wall.
Going to your left you correctly interpret the hint on the wall to mean that you should reverse a clue and head back to the 4# panel to try your numbers backwards.
Still nothing!
To the right of the scary window room you try your arrow clue on the buttons with no result until you apply the reversal hint.
Now you have Sniffcoin 8 and the black key which you use to open the panel to the left of the doorway you broke open earlier.
Sniffcoin 9 is now in the bag and you carefully take the Watchyorfingers knife.
After trying to cut, slice and stab everything in sight you discover that the knife makes a good wall scraper and you reveal a question under the dirty spot.
What kind of a question is that Guntars?
Much head scratching later you think to use your 4# code to pick letters from the 6 letter word and use your new word downstairs to get your last Sniffcoin.
Back where you used your shades you place your coins in the box then press the red button and buy what must be the world’s most expensive yellow marker!
Graffiti time and after you make Scary look Smiley you climb through the window and look around.
Those black windows on the roof opposite you look like they might be a hint to something and you set off in search of somewhere to use them.
You find the spot on the switches down the passageway by the so far useless number panel and end up with a fishing rod.
Fishing rod and fish food? Maybe they’re linked so you head downstairs and use both at the little pool.
The master angler only manages to catch a boot but noticing the date on the sole you decide to give that number panel one last try.
At last it opens and you grab the hacksaw and run to free the statue.
A long awaited sequel and for anyone who hasn’t played the original I suggest you do so as soon as you’ve said thanks to Guntars and put up a 5 star vote!
Nice change of pace and scenery......although we do consider the lipstick to be your staple item.....

You are right, , there was a bit of an Ainars feel about this one, but this was so much better than any Ainars game. I love (and hate!) games where there just seems to be no way forward and then the simplest of moves (in this case, sliding, not just clicking, the middle panel for the green symbols) provides a major breakthrough.
