taking forever to load! using chrome
ReplyDeleteDon't waste your time Wendy. I couldn't complete the game. One silver mask in inventory with no place to put it and one gold mask that you can't pick up. Placed 43/45 items and I am considering myself out.

ReplyDeleteGame totally bugged. None of the clue boxes work except scene 4, so you aren't given the formula to solve the final puzzle. The final puzzle is also a rehashed one that doesn't work, so it doesn't matter. To make matters worse, the Golden Mask is Scene 2 that overlaps the clue box cannot be picked up, so even if you can guess the final puzzle you can't finish.

ReplyDeleteWhy is the whole page reloading when rating the game on the site?! I have rated it and had to start the game all over! I think I will skip Games Bold from now, these are not even real escape games...

That bounce rate should be a dead giveaway, too. People are showing up, but they are either sick of waiting for your page to load (slower than 93% of similar sites) or more likely they are not seeing what they want to see and are leaving without clicking on anything at all!
What they ARE seeing is the same crappy developers over and over and over again. The whole Ena/Knf/Avm/Yal ad farm network, the Games2/Games4 "seen one you've seen them all" games, and of course these horrible GamesBold/CoolGames8 non-functional games where they just change the image files and repost the games as new without fixing any errors. Couple that with a near total abandonment of the quality game developers which drew people here in the first place and a lack of standards for the ones who have traded in quality for the quick 5 minute games with 3 minutes of ads, and it is a wonder that the site metrics are not even worse.
This is not what people come here for, and it is why they are abandoning this site in droves. (Adding all the nagging about AdBlocking only makes it worse. AdBlocking is here to stay, and nagging users about it is not going to make dealing with it better, it will make it worse.) I don't know what kind of financial resources the admin here has, but this is not a sustainable business model. If nothing changes, at some point it will become a money losing venture and it will have to be shut down.
That would be a shame, as since some people who I shall not name have left this has been a very nice community again, and I will miss it. But truth be told there are only a few developers I come here to play anymore, and it is a pretty easy thing to give them their own bookmarks. The whole appeal of this site, what really made it workable, is when it was full of developers you wanted to bookmark. Coming here where they were all linked already was more convenient.
Like most people I now only click on the site a couple times a week to see if the few developers I play that link here have put out anything new. If not, I bounce out like everyone else, positive community or not. Most the time I don't even log in anymore because I am not going to be here long enough to bother.
As a reward for those of you who read all this, the silver mask with no obvious place to put it goes to the left of the others, down a little bit, right on the edge of the tree trunk. Also, the clue for the code is the letters along the right side of the code clue itself. The letters translate to 09876543. Just equate the symbols and enter them in the final room, no math necessary. The hotspots in each room which do nothing are leftover from previous versions of the game which had clues in them. I can't help you with the gold mask in room 2 which can not be picked up, so the game can not be finished, but I am pretty sure that you didn't really expect anything else out of these clowns anyway.
