OddGinger - Rattle Spring: Overture is another point and click escape game developed by Odd Ginger for Itch.io. In this Adventure Escape game, deep in the desert lies the Rattle Spring Resort, an oasis marketed as a sanctuary for healing and recovery. But you haven’t come to heal. You’ve come to find Vera Radcliff—your cousin, your best friend, and the daughter of the resort’s eccentric owner. After receiving a chillingly vague distress call, you arrive to find her missing, and the resort swallowed by an unsettling silence. To uncover the truth behind the secretive family running the resort, you must immerse yourself in a dreamlike world of shifting symbols, enigmatic characters, and generational trauma. Can you solve the interconnected puzzles of Rattle Spring, or will you become just another memory buried in the desert sands? Good luck and have fun!
Note: This is free demo version. The full game is currently in development and will be available on Steam.

WALKTHROUGH-ISH??
ReplyDelete(I got out but I don't know if I'm missing puzzles and I didn't get a hint for other puzzles, I solved them with deduction)
Open the two small square windows
Grab bell and antler
Go left
Stab crow with antler
Pick up sand dollar from the floor, below the crow
Place the bell on hook on lower right window
Ring the bell
Place your sand dollar in the hat and take flute in return
Go right
Give flute to man
Wonder what the correct notes are, leave him enjoying his flute
Go right
Enjoy the three big vases under the little roof
Click on the big pillars
I kinda guessed this but I'm not entirely sure why the answer is like this. I guessed the sun is the eye, since it's light. The cube must be the brain, since it might reprensent a concept or an idea. The bug must be the hand, since it crawls and has a lot of legs? The snake must be the mouth, since water is coming from its mouth at the well/fountain. And lastly the wiggly lines are the heart, since that's the only one left.
Pick up another sand dollar from the top of the middle pillar, where the eye is.
Go left twice, give it to our hat friend at the window
Pick up green apple
Feed it to the snake at the well/fountain to stop the waterflow
Click on the well, get inside. Then click on door. Out.
I'm very confused and I truly think I missed stuff. Also the atmosphere really reminds me of Rusty Lake, but it's got it's own personality. Good demo, I'll be looking forward to the game release :)
I saw it already yesterday but was already in bed & almost 😴 - let's play now:
ReplyDelete- oh 😎 a WT - thx a bunch Vicious (thankfully it's not just me who always gives hints... 👍)
evtly I got the same pillar deductions (first I had wiggly lines = wind = mouth)... so nothing to do with eg flute (at least not in the demo, just literally playing around 😉)...❓
ReplyDeletebtw typo: Hot Springs 🙃
what a shame these games never load for me.
