ReplyDeleteOnly Minoto would have Dracula and Garlic in the same frame. But what was with the spasmodic raccoon? I tried to find some happiness for him, but no luck. Ahhh, that's the wonder of MinotoLand!

What On Earth Does This Have To Do With The Wizard Of Oz - Through
ReplyDeleteFor the original lyrics, Check out this site.
Part I: To the tune of Munchkin Land
zoz
Come out, come out, wherever you are, and greet the new day with a game from a star.
It fell from the sky, it fell very far. Minoto they say, is the name of the star.
Chorus (Forest, Field, and Fairy Tale Characters)
Minoto, they say, is the name of the star.
zoz
This game brings you joy. Or haven't you heard?
When it fell from the heavens
A miracle occurred.
Dorothy
It really was no miracle. Just play the game and see.
There was a big grey key – yes, it was key – and if you pick it up then you are sure to see
A lockbox there, upon a tall cliff where you use the key to get a plow and use it if you dare
Chorus (Forest, Field, and Fairy Tale Characters)
And oh, what happens next is rich.
The plow is hooked up to, a small ox who
pulls it across the field for a short distance and then you
Find a buried dirty sign raccoon scrubs while bear stands behind
A hand is on the sign and this is fine
For playing scissors, rock, and paper game if your inclined
Kind Boy Blue holds up the sign which Monkey’s scissors beat this time.
So Blue Boy must go and ring the bell then run fast so he will be gone when Dorothy shows
Mustachioed Chef
I’ve cooking yet to do, so please give this leash to
My helper Dorothy who will walk the dog so he can poo!
zoz
Look into the dog’s dog house, and find a hand that laughs by the mouse!
Lullaby League (Dorothy and Toto)
Now give the hand to the Farmer Boy who will giggle which proves the Hand’s power is true.
And then with a start, he’ll drop his corked jar
And out will roll a very useful Heart.
Lollipop Guild (Raccoon and Bear)
The Heart fits the stone which then turns into small Dracula who is ready to snooze
Woodpecker can use his strong pecker to
Unchain the coffin which Count Dracula moves into
zoz
He drops his garlic on the ground, Tra la la la la la la
So take it to the Chef so he
Can cut it with a knife that is sharp so we
Can give it to the two mice who
Will unwrap the gift that is there in the house
And knock out Pink Mouse!
Part II: To the tune of Ding Dong the Witch is Dead
Chorus (Everybody)
Out of the gift box pops Bottle Opener which hops
Right past the Pink Mouse he knocked down
The Opener will remove the bottle cork, which is next to
Dorothy and her dog Toto, too.
Then out comes a Tornado, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Toto and Dorothy fly away, but they’re OK and
We get Tornado end, only one method then
We’ll be back to play another day!
THE END

Thank You zoz for that incredible songthrough!!
ReplyDelete"My helper Dorothy who will walk the dog so he can poo!"
"Woodpecker can use his strong pecker.." (my dirty little mind really chuckled at that one)

ReplyDeleteIt's called artistic license ;)
ah, the secret, true story of how Dorothy ended up in Oz. Should have know Hollywood didn't get it right. Not one tickling hand or Vampire in that version.
ReplyDeleteAnother video game reference! The boy in green is supposed to be Link, the hero of the Legend of Zelda games. He's often seen picking up and throwing pots and uprooting bushes to look for things hidden inside, such as health-restoring hearts.
ReplyDelete@zoz - soooo funny!
ReplyDeleteAaaww, and it looked so sweet at first, one mouse giving the other a present....
