  5. Letters and black books gives three numbers for first gem.

  6. I know the paper goes with the black and white books, but not sure how... I can see an 8 and 2, but nothing else

    ReplyDelete
  7. Brute forced the last number, out now

    ReplyDelete
  8. You don't have to bruteforce.
The letters from the paper make words in combination with black books positions.
    Like the first is EIGHT.

  9. Star box, R,U,U,L,R,D for my second gem.

  10. I don´t get the arrow box :(

  12. Zazie - in the hall you see 1234, r,b,g,r. Look to see where the red arrows meet and press that number, do the same with blue, then green, then red again

  15. The books and paper are not doing it for me.... *eight* is not on the first line...but line 1 and 2.
I want to find the letters on the first line on paper correspond with the top shelf of books, then 2nd line-2nd shelf..but that is not it!...please somebody, point me in the right direction? lol

    ReplyDelete
  16. The arrows all point to a button according to color...for instance, the red is middle left...notice how all red arrows point to it...hope that helps....

  17. hey nokra, I too had to build six 3-digit numbers from letters I got from black books

this got me a weird line like
    IHWNGTONEETI

I just tried two of them, until I got the order right. I bet my method is too complicated and there's an easier way to "see" the order...but WTH :P

  18. The black book on the bottom shelf is at position 1.
On the paper the bottom line position 1 is E
The black book on the top shelf is at position 2.
On the paper the top line positon 2 is I.

So you have EI (from eight), keep doing that and you get all three numbers in words.

  19. PS: I just "shook" those letters around until the anagrams fitted, so as ROAKN makes NOKRA lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. TY, @small-tool...that did it! lolol
I just could not figure out where to start...lolol

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks s-t! I knew my method was probably overthinking things, but WTH I didn't have to think of order and just went top row, middle row, bottom row just as you read a newspaper or a book ;)

    ReplyDelete
  22. TY, as well...@arbeitslooser...lol...I still don't get your method...lolol .....just kidding!

  23. I have some trouble with the stars. I thought that the directions were : W N N E W S, but that's not the right.

  29. Your method is right arbeitslooser, but you mixed up Blue and Green.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes because I'm colorblind today!! :-S
Just looked at the wall again, and I could not believe my eyes.

P.S. Post is now deleted. It contained a wrong solution anyway.

  31. @arbeitslooser,
Thank you (I prefer a hint than an answer). I think that I have to find a direction (N, E, S, or W) for one point (?) of each star. So, the first star points to the West, the second and third stars point to the North, the 4th one points to the East, the 5th one, to the West and the last one to the South.
It means that I don't understand your hint, lol.

  32. I counted the white books on the shelves for the keypad crystal

Was hoping for a 2nd room where the paper clue would be used!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm out, but usually, I understand the puzzles in these games...

    ReplyDelete
  34. You're welcome, @mafe....so nice to help someone else for a change...lol

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Pascale

There IS, however an explanation for the stars.

Think of the situation if you're standing vis-à-vis of me and raise your right arm, it looks to me as if it's your left arm.

The solution is to put the stars as seen from *their* view. Because when they lean to the left, in your view, they actually lean to their right.

That's the crucial thing with this puzzle to think about.

    ReplyDelete
  36. ...AND it's also important to know that this will only affect horizontal directions, never vertical ones. So N always stays N and S always stays S.

    ReplyDelete
  37. My method for the stars was similar to how @arbeitslooser did it....I love the "lifted feet" description!!! lol
I just oriented the directions to the position of the star...so I look at the star with the east as if it was the top...and the star is leaning slightly left...so is #1 leaning slightly to the left....then, #1 is east....#6 looked up side down and it would be south....and so on!

Wow...@layla...cool how the first and last #s corresponded but how did you get the middle #?

    ReplyDelete
  38. nokra though you might have loved that "explanation", I no longer did, that's why I deleted it again and replaced it by a better (less braindead) one!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sometimes it happens you re-read your own descriptions and you wonder, "What the hell did I smoke?" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  40. @nokra ... I misread my own writing - mistook the 7 for a 2

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sorry I couldn't stay to help, had a school run
but It looks like everything has been well and truly explained !

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thank you, arbeitslooser, that's a very good explanation !

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lol Pascale,
    You mean;

Sometimes it happens you re-read your own descriptions and you wonder, "What the hell did I smoke?" ;)

Yep, I can realte to that :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oops, 'realte' had to be 'relate'.
    But only joking of course.
The stars explanation is indeed very good.

    ReplyDelete
  45. thanx s-t got out using your number clue

    ReplyDelete
  46. for stars think that numbers turn too!

example for 1, turn star on the right to put point up so number 1 turn on the right

for 6, star point is down, turn it to up and number 6 is down

so the order is given by numbers

    ReplyDelete
  47. my arrows dont move, and the #with the 6 stars dont move. I have 2 jewels, Can someone do a picture, explaining doesnt work for me I just dont understand help please.
