Got the first 1234 RBGR one open for a green knob
ReplyDeletehow swiss miss?
ReplyDeletegot it!!!
ReplyDeletemmh I thought the stars are
ReplyDeletel,u,u,r,l,d but not so
Anyone here? I have two gems so far - need to open the number safe
ReplyDeleteSM - switch you l and r
ReplyDeleteone has to turn the r and l and then the star box opens
ReplyDeletety miles - just got it
ReplyDeleteLetters and black books gives three numbers for first gem.
ReplyDeleteI know the paper goes with the black and white books, but not sure how... I can see an 8 and 2, but nothing else
ReplyDeleteBrute forced the last number, out now
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to bruteforce.
ReplyDeleteThe letters from the paper make words in combination with black books positions.
Like the first is EIGHT.
Star box, R,U,U,L,R,D for my second gem.
ReplyDeleteI don´t get the arrow box :(
ReplyDeleteAnd colour box is where
ReplyDeletered, blue, green and red(again) arrows meet.
Third gem and out.
Zazie - in the hall you see 1234, r,b,g,r. Look to see where the red arrows meet and press that number, do the same with blue, then green, then red again
ReplyDeleteThx miles, i have got it !!
ReplyDeleteAnd out now !
ReplyDeletestill live? hi all!
ReplyDeletehi morgan and miles, pls elaborate on color dots. thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe books and paper are not doing it for me.... *eight* is not on the first line...but line 1 and 2.
ReplyDeleteI want to find the letters on the first line on paper correspond with the top shelf of books, then 2nd line-2nd shelf..but that is not it!...please somebody, point me in the right direction? lol
The arrows all point to a button according to color...for instance, the red is middle left...notice how all red arrows point to it...hope that helps....
ReplyDeletehey nokra, I too had to build six 3-digit numbers from letters I got from black books
ReplyDeletethis got me a weird line like
IHWNGTONEETI
I just tried two of them, until I got the order right. I bet my method is too complicated and there's an easier way to "see" the order...but WTH :P
The black book on the bottom shelf is at position 1.
ReplyDeleteOn the paper the bottom line position 1 is E
The black book on the top shelf is at position 2.
On the paper the top line positon 2 is I.
So you have EI (from eight), keep doing that and you get all three numbers in words.
PS: I just "shook" those letters around until the anagrams fitted, so as ROAKN makes NOKRA lol
ReplyDeleteTY, @small-tool...that did it! lolol
ReplyDeleteI just could not figure out where to start...lolol
Thanks s-t! I knew my method was probably overthinking things, but WTH I didn't have to think of order and just went top row, middle row, bottom row just as you read a newspaper or a book ;)
ReplyDeleteTY, as well...@arbeitslooser...lol...I still don't get your method...lolol .....just kidding!
ReplyDeleteI have some trouble with the stars. I thought that the directions were : W N N E W S, but that's not the right.

ReplyDeletethanks nokra. i'm out now.
ReplyDeleteYour method is right arbeitslooser, but you mixed up Blue and Green.
ReplyDeleteYes because I'm colorblind today!! :-S
ReplyDeleteJust looked at the wall again, and I could not believe my eyes.
P.S. Post is now deleted. It contained a wrong solution anyway.
@arbeitslooser,
ReplyDeleteThank you (I prefer a hint than an answer). I think that I have to find a direction (N, E, S, or W) for one point (?) of each star. So, the first star points to the West, the second and third stars point to the North, the 4th one points to the East, the 5th one, to the West and the last one to the South.
It means that I don't understand your hint, lol.
I counted the white books on the shelves for the keypad crystal
ReplyDeleteWas hoping for a 2nd room where the paper clue would be used!
I'm out, but usually, I understand the puzzles in these games...
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, @mafe....so nice to help someone else for a change...lol
ReplyDelete@Pascale
ReplyDeleteThere IS, however an explanation for the stars.
Think of the situation if you're standing vis-à-vis of me and raise your right arm, it looks to me as if it's your left arm.
The solution is to put the stars as seen from *their* view. Because when they lean to the left, in your view, they actually lean to their right.
That's the crucial thing with this puzzle to think about.
...AND it's also important to know that this will only affect horizontal directions, never vertical ones. So N always stays N and S always stays S.
ReplyDeleteMy method for the stars was similar to how @arbeitslooser did it....I love the "lifted feet" description!!! lol
ReplyDeleteI just oriented the directions to the position of the star...so I look at the star with the east as if it was the top...and the star is leaning slightly left...so is #1 leaning slightly to the left....then, #1 is east....#6 looked up side down and it would be south....and so on!
Wow...@layla...cool how the first and last #s corresponded but how did you get the middle #?
nokra though you might have loved that "explanation", I no longer did, that's why I deleted it again and replaced it by a better (less braindead) one!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it happens you re-read your own descriptions and you wonder, "What the hell did I smoke?" ;)
ReplyDelete@nokra ... I misread my own writing - mistook the 7 for a 2
ReplyDeleteSorry I couldn't stay to help, had a school run
ReplyDeletebut It looks like everything has been well and truly explained !
Thank you, arbeitslooser, that's a very good explanation !
ReplyDeleteLol Pascale,
ReplyDeleteYou mean;
Sometimes it happens you re-read your own descriptions and you wonder, "What the hell did I smoke?" ;)
Yep, I can realte to that :)
Oops, 'realte' had to be 'relate'.
ReplyDeleteBut only joking of course.
The stars explanation is indeed very good.
thanx s-t got out using your number clue
ReplyDeletefor stars think that numbers turn too!
ReplyDeleteexample for 1, turn star on the right to put point up so number 1 turn on the right
for 6, star point is down, turn it to up and number 6 is down
so the order is given by numbers
my arrows dont move, and the #with the 6 stars dont move. I have 2 jewels, Can someone do a picture, explaining doesnt work for me I just dont understand help please.
