  35. Simply fab that Sharon (=Austen) and Austen (=Sharon) give us advance notice that 'they' will be playing the game later and then tell us when 'they' have played, so that we can move back from the edge of our seats. In one thing, 'they' are right though. This was another great, inventive, fun game from the best developer.

  40. Sniffthrough:

After taking your regulation Sniff 1 from by the door you investigate the red dots on the wall.
Starting at the indicated place you fiddle with the buttons until you turn them all green for which persistence you are rewarded with RSI and Sniff 2.
Moving to your left you inspect the locked cabinet and use the black key which you find at the bottom to open the middle panel.
Sniff 3 and a pair of scissors better off you head left again and snip the four ropes hanging from the shelf.
Left again and you use the rope lengths on the slider cupboard to find that they aren’t the clue.
After a rethink you realise that the middle two need to be swapped round as the hint was actually the amount you removed not the remainder.
There’s Sniff 4, some paper and everybody’s favourite – the lipstick.
You perform your usual lippy on the mirror trick and try to work out how you are going to fit 5 colours onto a 4 colour panel.
Suddenly you realise that the clock was visible in the mirror and head off to investigate.
By using your colour code on the clock numbers you reveal Sniff 5 and a very welcome screwdriver.
After a fruitless hunt for a screw you notice a small panel above the black cupboard and prise it open grabbing Sniff 6 and a pen.
A quick chat with the guy on the sofa reveals that he only knows one tune so you rapidly scribble him a new one on the paper.
After drying the ink by the window and taking Sniff 7 you hand the fakir his new scoresheet.
His playing is so bad that the snake slithers off revealing Sniff 8 and some fingers.
When prompted the lousy musician reads some numbers to you from the rope and you correctly deduce that these are times and that if you hit them on the clock the colours shown will open the second panel on the grey cabinet.
Sniff 9, fingers 2 and a 4 # code are now yours and you use the code to open the panel above.
There you find Sniff 10 and a third set of fingers.
An inspection of the chair by the mirror gives you three numbers and you use these to give the shelves by the grey cabinet the fingers gaining Sniff 11 and the ff in the process.
Scooting over to the door you use your ff to gain Sniff 12 and freedom pausing only to thank Guntars for another great game and to hit the 5th star.

  41. Great walkthrough, Sharon :)

  42. How on earth does 12, 18, 15, 21 relate to the clock? Sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 12 18 15 and 21 - think of them in terms of the 24 hour clock. Click on those numbers and that will give you another clue.
