    ReplyDelete
  16. Is it just for me or the game is not adjusted to the screen? A fraction of the bottom is missing (playing on Chrome and tested in IE as well).
Also, I can't seem to do be able to do anything, but that's probably me stuck :D

    ReplyDelete
  40. sauliukas
look which direction is North (weathercock), then look at the 4 tiles on border & adjust them accordingly on puzzle as per compass directions N-E-W-S

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  42. still cannot figure out the knife/fork clue. i tried it using the ones on the table/pattern, then the ones missing

    ReplyDelete
  43. thaihoney
    I gave a hint at 12:10 AM
how the items are placed on table

    1=knife, 2=fork

you have to click on the placed box to see the order

    ReplyDelete
  44. note that box is upside down compared to the table (centre arrangement at top of table / bottom of box)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks for the hints Alpha and Nini - I got lost several times. And thanks Neat - great game.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Where's the chess room? I've done the knife/fork puzzle and pulled a lever in that room, but now I don't know where to go!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Iorwen To open the chess room: there is a second lever under the crate in the barrel room. roll it out of the way with the cut wood logs.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Alpha and Nini are quite the team.

    ReplyDelete
  49. One of the best games I've played in a long time. Thank you!

  51. My goodness, that was a long one!

    ReplyDelete
  52. A few pixel hunts in this one, and the frustrating trick of things moving in other rooms when you do something somewhere else. Somehow I opened the pawn statue, I think after putting the Q in the middle box and pressing somewhere in that screen (Maybe after doing something else first since nothing happened the first time I placed the queen?). Frustrating game. Also, behind the big stone block was a very dark lever that I guess I pulled and never knew it.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Red herrings: The six knights mean absolutely nothing other than telling you what a rook and bishop are if you are unfamiliar with chess. Have no idea what the QoK Kok hint was.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Final hint: do not rotate the tiles for the NEWS puzzle, just use them as they are shown when zoomed.

    ReplyDelete
  55. i only have a torch and stuck....

    ReplyDelete
  56. Pete. Go upstairs into dark room.

  57. What a great game! Of course I needed a few hints (this is one of these games which need more than one clever mind) but among all this daily average stuff this game was a pearl in the shell. Worth a Tesshie or even a Neutral.

Thank you guys for leaving some valuable hints, especially Alpha and Nini, would have liked to join you live.

At least I might leave another hint: If you don't know how to escape in final scene, use an item for a third time (took me about an hour to find it again).

  60. Tough one, but most satisfying.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I would NEVER have made it out without the hints so cheers. I nearly gave up at the rook and bishop game, I forgot to click ok on the Q&K box and could not for the life of me get the pic of the chess board up and couldn't go any further. It was SO frustrating. Apart from the it was an excellent game.
