What on earth is a chew bell? Never heard of such a thing!
ReplyDeleteYeah, this was one of those that is simply off track. Besides "chew bell", how would one definitively guess on "water" for the other spelled word? I quit in protest at that point.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, TICKed - it was far too obscure a clue, I resorted to a walkthrough, which should not have been necessary.
DeleteSometimes it feels like I'm the only one here who has access to Google. A chew bell appears to be a rubber chewing toy for cats and dogs, and inside of that toy is a bell that is making noise when pets roll or chew the toy.
ReplyDeleteI remember that 20 years ago our cat had a similar toy, the continuous tinkling of that bell was really irritating, so we had to hide that toy. Of course, we didn't call it a chew bell, because we don't speak English at home.
DeleteI googled it but it didn't come up, punnivinn. Having never owned a dog, I would never have guessed. Fortunately it was a pretty obvious answer, even though it made no sense to me.
Indigo, I would never have guessed it too, although I have had different pets. First I thought that perhaps it's a typo. But the images in the internet started to look familiar. Such toys have many different names and brands, I think "chew bell" isn't the most famous of these.
