SelfDefiant - SD The Firefly Lanterns Escape: The Moonlit Garden is another point and click puzzle escape game developed by Self Defiant for Melting-Mindz. In this Firefly Escape game, the garden has gone dark. Every firefly that used to light it is shut inside a lantern, and the only way to free one is to solve the lantern it is locked in. Five lanterns come to the pedestal, one at a time, and no two of them open the same way. One wants three colored stones seated in the right sockets. One is wired like a circuit that has to be completed. One is a small castle that takes three keys. The last one is dark, and it will not light at all until four mirrors are turned so a single beam finds the crystal at the top. So, walk around each lantern, lean in close, and work out what it is asking you for. Lift the roof, let the firefly go, and the garden gets a little of its light back. Free all five and it is bright again. Good luck and have fun!

Best of the puzzle games so far. Clearly defined goals, stated ending. Also enjoy the slightly dumbed-down letting you know when "1 of -- are correct". Helpful while figuring out a puzzle's goal.

ReplyDeleteAs I recall, only the tiles near the bottom right corner were involved. Just make a clockwise spiral that ends up in the middle. I groaned when I saw it also, but got it fairly quickly.

ReplyDeleteI'm also terrible at sliders. Think I only moved the bottom-right 6. Thought it was going to take a lot longer. Hard to tell how long I really spent on the game b/c I kept getting interrupted.

ReplyDeleteI was fine up to the last puzzle with the little clicky circles, too vague, no clear direction as to what needed to be done, doesn't help that with high rez monitors it's still way too small to make out small details.
