crank broom sticker combined laser and batteries. Running around in circles. Done.
ReplyDeleteput the laser with the batteries on the hooks on the wall in the storage room.
DeleteI have the cosmic code. I think that might be the number to the back door, but can't figure it out...
ReplyDeleteYeah, ok, found the cosmic decoder in the magazine i've been carrying around. Lets see if I can do something with that now.
DeleteThe final code is not multiplication, it's what you need to do... LOL At least I got a raise!!
ReplyDeleteStory Through! (Remember those? Pepperidge Farm remembers)
ReplyDeleteIt was my very first day on the job, and I had already achieved a record of zero incidents—except for the minor detail that I’d managed to lock myself inside and lose my keys. A quick glance around revealed the cruel truth: they were sitting right inside the glass dome of the claw machine.
Starting my search on the main sales floor, I checked out the life-sized Captain Cosmos mannequin. Ducking behind his cape, I retrieved a crank tucked against the wall and spotted a stray sticker, which went straight into my sticker album. Moving left into the game room, I scanned a miniature shelf and snagged another sticker for the collection.
Continuing left, I stepped into the staff kitchen. On the wall hung the rulebook for a tabletop RPG. I pulled open the cleaning closet to grab a broom, shifted a mug on the counter to reveal a comic book, and checked beneath yesterday’s crusty coffee pot to find yet another sticker. Finally, I popped open the microwave and discovered a small key resting inside.
DeleteI headed back to the game room to tackle the RPG laid out on the table, following the kitchen rules to victory. My reward was a flashlight; I promptly unscrewed the casing and pulled out the batteries. Above the claw machine, I took note of a posted clue before turning my attention to the Simon Says machine right beside it. I beat the sequence, and the machine spat out a shiny coin.
Returning to the sales floor, I brought the comic book over to the register to complete a legitimate purchase, which netted me a prize token and a fresh sticker. Next, I used the small key from the microwave to unlock the glass display case and claim the Captain Cosmos laser sword, immediately sliding the flashlight batteries into its handle.
With the armed laser sword in hand, I walked right into the stockroom. I mounted the sword onto two hooks on the wall to light up the space. Searching the room, I picked up a magnet from an open box and spotted a file key hidden behind a towering stack of boxes. I used my coin as a makeshift screwdriver to open the lid of the fuse panel, then read the note on the wall. Adjusting the breakers, I made sure the power routing covered "Stuff," "Other Stuff," and the boss's coffee maker—successfully powering up the claw machine.
Back in the game room, I slid the token into the claw machine and went for the keys, only to remember the note I'd read earlier. Reaching into the drop chute, I affixed the magnet directly to the claw—quietly ignoring the absurdity of being able to attach a magnet inside the chute without just grabbing the keys with my bare hands. Armed with magnetic precision, I played again and fished out my keys (reassuring myself that even if I missed, the machine would refund the token for endless retries).
Unlocking the event room, I stepped inside and attached the crank to the curtain mechanism. Rolling the curtains open revealed a costume, which dropped to the floor, leaving behind a wire hanger. Before leaving, I examined the popcorn machine for a sticker, checked the trophy case to grab a roll of duct tape, and returned to the sales floor to unlock the main office door with my keys.
Inside the office, I snatched a sticker from the display case, took a close look at the wall calendar, and read the note posted on the safe. Using the specific date and month from the calendar, I dialed the combination, popped the safe open, and pulled out a magazine. Inspecting the magazine through a magnifying glass revealed a hidden Cosmic Decoder.
Back on the sales floor, I got to crafting: I taped the wire hanger to the top of the broomstick to fashion a long hook pole. Reaching up, I hooked the latch on the ceiling and pulled down the attic stairs.
Climbing up into the attic, I opened a "Memories" box to retrieve a picture and another sticker. I used the file key from the stockroom to unlock the metal filing cabinet, pulling out an encoded Cosmic Code sheet before heading back down to the storeroom to work in peace.
I pulled out the Cosmic Decoder and lined up the rocket symbol with the corresponding code symbol on the wheel to crack the cipher. Reading the translated sequence, I ignored any urge to multiply the numbers, simply entering the decoded digits twice into the keypad on the back door.
The heavy lock clicked open. Freedom achieved, zero actual incidents recorded, and now it was time to go right back to work and claim that well-deserved raise.
