so far, have tile (behind plant) and mirror and need SD to remove screw.

Have gotten second drawer open with key from the three digit code...clue is the lights...subtract the lines when they are on from the digital eight.

@Kingman, the map shows the location of a loose Tatami mat. After you find the map you can then use the SD to lift it.

Helen, have you gotten the key from under the cup of water? With it you can open the drawer to get a spray bottle. fill the bottle and spray the screen with water for stars

Tatami is the floor mat used throughout the room. Same scene as the tile that dropped from the ceiling.
Helen, use the sling shot to get key from the window. First you must put the stick and bowl out there to catch it.

Attach sling to the base from the mirror. Put marble in it. Then it is ready to use.

everyone was talking about a map but so many comments i didn't see where to find it. if you don't know, click on the divider looking thing that says Water at top, click on the right pointed part of the board then click again. it lifts up. the only thing i don't have now is the happy coin. thanks to all that has helped. i'm out.

I Need to Take a Nap on a Tatami - Through
Part 1
Click on the plant and take the tile.
Click on the mirror on the lower right shelf and take it as well.
Check out the three lanterns to the left of the fan. This is the clue for the 3 digit code for the contraption on the lower left shelf under the wall hanging.
3digit code: click the button below the digital 8 and then subtract the lines that light up to get new numbers. Then match the numbers to the color of the arms on the machine.

Take the large red cup and take the spade-shaped key that was under the cup
Go right and look at the drawer that says “3rdM + 4thW”.
Go right again and look at the calendar.
Go left to the drawer and enter the four digit code from the calendar.
Open the drawer. Oh, noooz, it’s empty! Keep pulling on it until you pull it out and take the tile.
Use the spade key on the drawer on the right and take the spray bottle.
Fill the spray bottle with water from the large red cup.
Go right to the screen and spray the lower left and upper right sections with the water in the spray bottle.
Make a note of the number of stars in each corner of each section.
Go right or left twice to the STAR picture and use the star code to knock it down to reveal a niche with a key.

Take the club key.
Go right or left twice. Zoom on the left closet door at the bottom and use the club key to take the pole that keeps the sliding door closed.
Highlight the large red cup and add the pole that kept the sliding door closed.
In the closet view, look at the ceiling and use the combined red cup + pole contraption to get the tile from the ceiling.
You’ll find this tile #3 on the tatami mat to the left of the table in the first scene.
Open the right closet door and take the screwdriver from the closet floor.
Highlight the mirror and click on it to see the side. Use the screwdriver to remover the mirror, leaving just the metal holder.
Look behind the left closet door. Place the mirror on the structure atop the green box.
You will see numbers around the mirror, and a keypad on the front of the green box. Click on the green box numbers that are backwards on the mirror.

Take the piece of elastic.
To get tile #4, use the screwdriver on the lower right edge of the tatami mat where tile #3 dropped (be patient, it may take a few clicks!).
Look in the right drawer of the two-drawer chest on the closet shelf and take the jar with “symbols, numbers, and some kind of shape”.
The “some kind of shape” is a fan, and there is a fan in the first scene that has the number “2011” on it. Hmmmm….
There is a 4 digit keypad on top of the jar. Enter the code therel

Now you have an open jar filled with colorful balls. And you choose to take the green ball.
Use the metal holder of the mirror with the piece of elastic to make a slingshot.

Go back to the closet and open the right door.
Place all four tiles in the left drawer. Open the drawer and take the triangle key.
Go left once and use the triangle key to open the window.
You will see a key in the tree. Maneuver the combined red cup + pole contraption under the key and then shoot the key from the tree with the slingshot.
Take the heart key that falls into the cup and use it to unlock the door.
Click on the door and you’re out! (but without happy coin ☹

I came back to look for the Happy Coin, but I'm afraid I've failed to find it. I was convinced that I could break through the door behind the spot where the mirror was using the slingshot with another green ball that you can get from the jar. But that didn't work, so I must hang my head and give up...

For those having trouble with finding the 4th piece under the mat. The tatami mat is NOT the pinkish cushion the other piece landed on. It's the floor tile to the left of that cushion. click on the bottom right corner of that floor tile (after you find the 'map') and it will pop right up.
I can't believe I missed a Tesshi-e live!!! :(

@Mehmet I'm sorry you're having a hard time with the mat, but I hope that you don't blow of Tesshi-e games. They are one of the very best in my opinion. Gazzy I would understand as many of us skip those now, but these are never buggy, have great graphics, clever codes, and throw in translations. That makes a pretty great escape. :)
FOR THE MAT:
You have the map in inventory, then when you click the seem (the dark line on the floor) it will say "the mat is sticking up a bit" or something like that. Then select your SD and click it again and it will work. :)
Hope that helps a bit. I know how frustrating it can be when it works for everyone else and you can't get it. Happens to me more often than I care to admit lol.

For the map zoom on right of the screen where it says WATER and then click on the top right corner of it to zoom on the little topper thingy. You can remove it and the map is inside.

I always liked there because the text...whenever you clicked on something, was in English, so I actually understood what the hell I was doing, not just clicking randomly to find an end! These games have a story and it makes it more enjoyable! I only see Japanese, except when I click the picture with star on it...and I think I already knew it said star!!!!LOL

And thanks to Cici for the Happy Coin (although I think the non-happy meal looked a better ending, must be hungry!) I had to go through twice because I somehow opened the left side of the door by mistake.
And thanks to zoz for the walkthrough (even if you did leave out the map). Oh, you can get the tile from the ceiling with just the stick, you don't need the bowl.

I'm sorry @4red3s. I realize now that some did not have English translation which is odd b/c I didn't select anything special to have it. Mine had Japanese with English translation for every thing.
It still works the same though. Once you have the map in inventory, select the SD and click the seem.
The one that falls is on the pink cushion in the same view NOT under the mat. The one under the mat is why you get the map in the first place. It's all very logical, but w/o translations it doesn't make as much sense I guess.
I agree with Mkanda, I love Tesshi-e games because of their great graphics, and because they are given in English. Only, they are usually rather hard, and this one was VERY VERY difficult for me to finish. Fortunately, a poor gamer as me can always count on the help of all of you other gamers. THANKS TO ALL of YOU for posting your comments here. This is why this is my favourite site!
