got cane, got 6 happy coins, diamond, heart and club #'s can't find keys for wall box of cupboard under clock

How do you get the key under the cake? I can open the lid and got the coin, but can't get to the cake. Also can't figure out order to open the pink box by the door. Really wish people would give better explanations instead of just saying "I got a key" or "You need a hook".
It would be great if someone could write up a walkthrough.
Clues like "found screwdriver" is not very helpful. Please describe WHERE you found the screwdriver. Otherwise, what is the point in posting that statement?

I previously solved the bird puzzle but only got a key (not a screwdriver). After watching your walkthrough, I changed the first bird from red to red (went through one cycle of colors) and it opened a second time and gave me the screwdriver.
This game is going to drive me nuts!
I never read such bad comments in a game... got this - got that, use this - use that... no hint... only links to pictures... who needs links to pictures? no need of a solution... and I also do not need a video-wt for a tesshi-e ...
I usually love this games, they are logically and solvable and when you get stuck, you mostly only need a small hint... where are these hints?

for the frozen key: you only have to wait a bit, it melts by itself
hi sabine will try to help,the cake box opens with the esm clue look at the wreaths at the back, and the box
keeps closing on me too
for the spade clue look a couple of time in the christmas present box you opened with the knife
for the colored birds light the candles above the fireplace and go around, then turn back and you get the colors

ah got the key from the cake the fire has gone out , use the picture clue again for the wreaths
also wait until the fire in the fireplace is out... then you can use the spade there... happy coin too hot... there are also letters and some hidden ...

I finally got the picture open... the flashlight is broken...
@bigtank... use the colors as the locations of the angles... then look at the candles for the letters according to the colors and spell the word "candle"

WALKTHROUGH Part I
- facing you, pink four digit code box, moveable painting, six mr. birdies, tree you can look up with a coin on the wall near it
- go right, there is a snowman that needs a 6 position code, click on boxes
- move boxes, find coin (1) under second and clue for 8 of diamonds under third
- back out, notice there is a plank screwed to the wall and an alcove under it
- go right, there is a locked box, a locked cabinet with a "merry christmas" box with nails on it, and a clue painting on the left
- in the middle, a lovely warm fireplace and a mantle with hippo, small picture with happy coin needing screwdriver, and six candles with "acd eln" on them
- on the right is a bed
- click on mantle and open hippo mouth for coin (2), there is also a gift behind the fruitbowl, you can't open it yet
- back out, click on bed and look under it for a metal plate
- examine plate: it has two small holes and cut outs for letters
- return to the "merry christmas" box above the locked cabinet and place the plate
- see "esm"
- note position of "esm" on the painting directly above: upper left, lower right, upper right
- back out and go right, see a wreath puzzle, a window with snowmen, and a small white box on the wall
- click on wreaths and turn them to orient their bells in the right directions (upper left, lower right, upper right)
- open cake case for coin (3)
- back out and click on snowman window, the clue is up, up, down, middle, down, up
- back out and go right twice, click on the snowman puzzle
- flip the bars according to the clue, key is frozen in snowman
- back out and go all the way around the room once, retrieve the clover key
- back out and go right, use the key on the small box on the left
Part II
- get the knife, examine the handle and get a small magnet, then use the knife on the gift
- from the gift you will get matches, coin (4), and a clue - 6 of spades
- back out and click on the mantle, light the candles
- take another turn about the room and revisit the melting snowman for a clue - 3 of hearts, then revisit the candles
- they now have colored flames, ACD are red, green, yellow and ELN are yellow, blue, green
- visit the mr. birdy puzzle and light them up in the same color pattern
- get coin (5) and screwdriver
- back out and go right twice, if you zoom on the fire you'll notice it is dying down
- click on the mantle and use the screwdriver on the picture to get coin (6), also see a clue - 7 of clubs
- you now have four card suit clues - diamonds (8), spades (6), hearts (3), and clubs (7)
- back out and go left, use the screwdriver on the wall plank and get a long stick, click on the plank to get a spade key
- back out and go right, use the spade key on the cabinet to get santa's sack and a spade for fireplace
- if your fire isn't dead yet, take a turn about the room, then click on it once it's gone
- use the spade to move the charred wood around and get the clue "ksc", use spade on hot coin
- use this clue with the painting to get a new wreath solution: left, bottom right, bottom
- change wreaths again, and lift cake case to get round key
- back out and click on small box to the right of snowman window, use key on this
- click all four boxes to light them up: UL yellow, UR red, BL blue, BR green
- now go to the "CANDLE" painting and click the corners according to the position of the colors and the color of the letters on the mantle candles:
C - green - bottom right corner
A - red - upper right corner
N - green - bottom right corner
D - yellow - upper left corner
L - blue - bottom left corner
E - yellow - upper left corner
- get coin (7) and broken flashlight
- back out and click on tree, use the long stick to get coin (8)
- back out and go right, click on the melted snowman jar
- put the spade with the hot coin in the water and retrieve it for coin (9)
- back out then click on the alcove on the floor next to the plank, you'll see an unreachable happy coin and a clue
- use the numbers you have collected to make sense of the clue: 86x37 = 3182
- back out, go left and click on pink box. Enter the code and get a hook you can attach to the long stick. Then attach the magnet and return to get coin (10) in the alcove
- go through the door and pick a gift, left is santa coin, middle is key to happiness, right is a nice dinner, courtesy of Tesshi-e

Are there different meals presented depending on which present you choose? Just curious, and I don't want to go through the game 3 times (nor did I save so I could start over). I chose the one on the far right and got a kind of chicken leg looking thing and a bottle of Yellow Tail. :) Anyone else get anything different?
HINTS:
0) Click Function, then language
1) There are several places where you need to wait (spin around) and then come back. Things change. (spoiler: spoisnowmanfirecandlesler)
2) Click multiple times, there are clues hidden under/in things you find.
3) The flashlight does work, no need to repair it
4) Hover over letter clues too small to see, a description will display.
5) Some puzzle boxes are used more than once, there are separate clues for same puzzle box.
I would love to have dinner with TESSHI-e and talk about escapes! Do you think that's him?

Tesshi-e you apparently pull these off as if it was the easiest thing of the world, while others struggle with poor 'blocky' graphics, very "creative" use of English and far-from-logical puzzles!

(without the magnet it would've been a "tesshi-e-out-with-no-help" to be noted down in my records then...)
Last remark: Tesshi-e HAS changed something in his games. Not only are you now required to use puzzle boxes more than once (getting two solutions that make it open at different spots, e. g. side & bottom), but you also have to SEARCH (MINI-)DRAWERS VERY CAREFULLY because there might be TWO things in there, like a paper and a screwdriver, or a coin and a needle.
Unlike in the old days, Tesshi-e now often hides keys in seemingly empty drawers, too. So you would take out a small box from a dark-ish compartment, w/deeming the compartment all EMPTY. But in fact it's NOT!
There was one of the famous 'card-symbol-shaped keys' hidden in one corner!
Less care to search these places *thoroughly* may sometimes cause you running in circles without a clue or without a key to open anything.
