Ah, OK, I understood it -- the dots under XY mean just "similarly", i.e. the upper row is XY and three other rows (on two different floors) as well. YX likewise, and the keyhole has a Z and nothing more, so all the switches go to the Z position.
ReplyDeleteWhen you look at the entrance in the first scene you see Z, X, Y. Think Z = Top, X = Middle and Y = Bottom. Once you have the clues on the wall (and yes the " were a bit confusing at first) Then you just set the levers for X and Y. Once you have those open, set the levers for Z and voila!
